Back to Yours is a five-piece indie-rock, alternative-pop band formed at Georgetown University in 2019. Beginning with Beatles covers and backyard parties, they continue to evolve, as they write and perform in major cities up-and-down the east coast. They produce nostalgic, accessible rock with a range of genre-spanning influences. Since their debut album "Where Are We Going", an homage to the chaotic fun of college, the band’s music is taking a more serious tone, grappling with themes of confusion, isolation, and the directionless feeling of entering adulthood in a constantly changing world.

Friday April 14, 2023 – It only took three listens to truly appreciate what is happening here. And what is happening? Well, in my mind I am feeling a beautiful collision of what used to be called radio friendly rock (when people listened to the radio) and for me there are wonderful sonic cues of 70's mellow rock as well as 90's soul pop filtered through jammy jazz dipped 80's power pop. I feel a collision infused with a wonderful musicality, of funk, soul, indie rock. An amalgam of cross generational artists like Todd Rundgren, Bozz Scaggs, Daryl Hall & John Oates, The Bears (with Adrian Belew), Jamiroquai, Joe Jackson (to name a few). All those artists had joy in their music, even if the songs strayed into melancholy places, there was the joy of playing and I hear that musical joy in Back to Yours. - Robb Donker Curtius (American Pancake)
